Christmas Colour Schemes

There’s a colour scheme to suit every style and taste! Have you started decorating your home for Christmas yet? if not will you go for a more traditional colour scheme like red, gold and green or will you choose a more modern look that incorporates bright and different colours? You can either go all out and embrace the colour scheme in its entirety or just choose subtle decorations and accents.

Gold can be from soft aged tones to brassy and rich bronze shades. If you choose a gold colour scheme it will add warmth and elegance to your room which is perfect for Christmas! You can also use gold all year round by using it as an accent colour to lift and finish a simple room. If your room is neutral then add a gold lamp or metal side table, it will add polish without introducing a colour contrast.

This is a diverse colour that will add warmth and richness to your home, it is starting to become more popular during Christmas time. From dark blue to aqua, this colour is surprisingly festive when it is style well, especially when it is paired with a more traditional colour scheme like gold and silver. If you have a navy coloured wall, pair it with some baubles that are in different shades of blue, it’ll make your room pop!

A lot of people are too scared to use this colour at Christmas, but we think it gives a striking look. Start with using this colour scheme in your dining room as you can use a white table cloth and white china.

Black and white is very fashionable, and if it is styled well then it can be very warming and festive. To add some sparkle into the room, add some twinkly fairy lights.

The glitzy but cold colour mimics a stylish winter wonderland. In front of a shiny mirror, create a bold centrepiece then accentuate it by adding silver candles and pots around the room.

Red and Green

Nothing says Christmas like a splash of red, especially when it is partnered with green! Go traditional this year with red candles, tree decorations, blankets and wrapping paper. To feel extra festive, make a garland with real pine and red berries.
