Garden Fence Ideas

Some of the best garden fence ideas bring out structure, definition and joy to your outdoor space. Now that the weather is beautiful its lovely to be able to get out in the garden again and enjoy your outdoor space! You might need to do some work but redesign your fence or replacing it could give you garden a whole new look.

A fences main function is to separate one garden from another which provides a useful boundary that we all respect but sometimes forget about, the type of fence you have can change the look of your garden.

Contemporary Appearance

To give your garden a more contemporary feel try using fence panels with a pale-wood finish, and you can also use the same finish on the decking to give it a more cohesive feel. If you have a smaller garden hanging a mirror will reflect sunlight making your small garden look bigger than it is, it also makes your fence look a lot more interesting.

Paint your Garden Fence

With a stylish colour clash your garden will stand out from the crowd! You can also give your garden furniture a makeover at the same time to match the fence. You could either go for a bold shade or divide your fence into multiple panels with different shades, to do this use masking tape to achieve a perfect straight line.

Outdoor Kitchen

Make part of your garden fence into an outdoor kitchen now that the weather is perfect for a BBQ! You can use your fence to hang utensils, so they are in close reach and rack your favourite sauces.

Decorate your Garden Fence with Lights

If you have a fence with a trellis top you can make it prettier with some jam-jar tealight holders, they work well in the daylight as well as at night. To hang them use unobtrusive nails so it looks like they’re floating. We think any colour works well but our favourite is the clear jam-jar tealights.

Low Horizontal Design

For a more modern feel mount a wooden garden fence on top of a concrete board. To keep everything flowing in the same direction use horizontal wooden panels and a smart mid-toned varnish for a perfect finish.

Picket Fence

If you have a picket fence, then to make it more daring paint it in pastel hues! This will make your front garden look beautiful and passers-by happier.
