A Guide to Buying the Perfect Sander
August 14, 2017
There are different sanders for different jobs – simple. To understand and discover which sander is perfect for you, you will first need to know the different types of sander.Â
Â

Belt sander – A belt sander is great for removing a large amount of material from a large area. As it is electric, it can swiftly remove content substances from tabletops, doors flooring, and many other surfaces. As an addition to this, a belt sander is also perfect for rounding off and shaping wood.
Â
Orbital sander – Best for getting a smooth finish on large, flat areas. An orbit sander can also be used for smoothing paint, varnish or smoothing plaster between coats.
Â
Random orbital sander – Combines the speed of a belt sander with the smoothness of orbital sander. An orbital sander leaves the surface almost scratch free and distributes wearing on sand sheets evenly, meaning they last longer.
Â
Multi-sander – A very versatile sander. Good for treating both contoured and flat surfaces. With the addition of different attachments, working on sections such as skirting boards and architraves is an ease.
Â
Sander features:
Â
Speeds – Variable speed functions let you set speeds for greater control.
Â
Dust extraction – a vacuum cleaner attachment is very useful, as sanding creates a lot of dust.
