Are you planning any DIY projects this month? If you are, make sure you keep yourself safe whilst carrying out your project by taking all necessary actions and precautions to keep yourself safe. We have outlined a few tips you can do to keep safe whilst carrying out your DIY project below:
When you’re working with spray paint or in a very dusty area, make sure to wear gloves, safety goggles and a dust mask or respirator to protect yourself.
If you plan on removing old paint from any room or building, seek advice from a reliable painter and decorator to see if it’s a lead based paint and to find out what is the safest way to dispose of it.
If you’re going to be using tools during your build (which you most like are), ensure you are familiar with how they work and know how to use them.
Try to avoid wearing any loose clothing or jewelry, as these have a chance of getting caught on equipment and supplies
If you’re planning on working inside to paint a room or to make any structural changes, make sure the room I swell ventilated to avoid breathing in any fumes/dust.
Lastly take your time when carrying out your project and don’t rush, rushing can cause accidents and you could make an avoidable mistake that could effect the whole project
